I have my own opinions regarding your question but if you're concerned about what others think regarding what you do with "YOUR" bike then I suggest you just sell it and find something else to occupy your time.

Wow, your response was totally uncalled for. Yes it is my bike and I can do what I want with it. However to ask for an opinion from people in the community is just that an opinion. My time sir is filled with defending this great nation through 22 years of military service and 8 years of racing motorcycles. I'm not some 20 year old noob who just got a bike like it was his first girl friend. I respect the thoughts and opinions of the motorcycle community because it's a family. Your response tells this forum you lack respect to what is your fellow family member. Community members in this forum need constructive feedback and if you can't provide it then don't respond. As a fellow veteran you should know better.

ZINGGG!!! He deserved that. Getting advice and opinions is never a bad thing. Except maybe to someone that thinks they know it all. Best of luck with it!

Wow, never knew there was a limited version of that year/model.
Very smart color combo with that brown seat.
Bet it looks awesome in the sunlight.

The real value in older bikes lies in their originality.....

That really is a gorgeous bike. I'm glad you've decided to keep her as is.

In general, my sense of Evos is that they were made is way too high of numbers to ever worry about collectability or any of that.

But there are exceptions. And a mid-80's special issue FXR is certainly one of them. That's a bike worth preserving.

If you've got an itch to build a custom Harley, find yourself a beat up, mid 90's Dyna. They're everywhere, reasonably cheap, and no one will ever care about them (IMHO, anyway).
