Update: Bought a used SE setup with breather bracket and had to do a lot of redneck engineering to get it to work, I'm still not thrilled with it but I wanted to do everything in my power to make it as close to period correct that I could. The breather rail is bent towards the bike but was unable to clear the SE Mikuni carb, so I had to flip it so the outlet tube was at the front cylinder. Next I had to do a lot of finangling with the backing plate and carb adapter for the holes to align somewhat correctly for the side brackets but could never get enough clearance for the bolts and have everything seal correctly. So out comes the dremel and angle grinder and cut spaces in the brackets so I can attach everything, and after hours of trial and error, it's together in a decent fashion.
An old thread, but I ended up using the breather bolts off the sportster. They worked perfectly. I could still buy them but I was unable to find the stock ones for the evo top breathers. I couldn't get either from the HD dealer.
If you look at the parts fiche for these years there were some subtle differences and some where for the EFI models, some for California and some for outside continental US. From my looking any of the California ones can easily be converted to non California models, simply by removing the added pieces, damper plate on the bottom etc. I was never able to find the exact one for my bike, but did eventually found one that worked with some simple mods.
