I need to replace a turn signal bulb in the dash. The turn signal it's self works, but the right one doesn't flash on the dash board when I turn it on.
On my other bikes I have just pulled the socket out of the little dash piece and replaced the bulb but when I pull on this one it seems like its not going to pull out. Are these threaded in or just held in with tension? Maybe I just need to quit pussyfooting it and pull it out.
While I'm in there should I replace them with LEDs or would LEDs even work in it? They seem a little dim and LEDs would look a lot nicer.
Your 95 indicator light sockets are the same part number as my 98 fatboy so the socket just pulls out of the housing. I also went with T5 LED replacements.. Got them here..

Very nice difference...
Cool, I assume the LEDs you linked to are clear/white? And they just shine through the colored lens on the instrument panel?
Edit- Also, did you have to cut and splice wires or are they plug and play?

I just pulled one out of my dash and they are white.. The link I posted is the exact ones I got a couple of years ago and are plug and play.. like the original bulbs...
Maybe I am missing something here...however, I want to make sure Bubba gets the correct part.
For the FXDS, the T5 bulbs that hotrod linked will work for the speedo, tach and fuel gauge illumination, not for the turn signal indicator (mini green arrow)
Is what your calling a "dash" for the FXDS actually the speedometer-tachometer mounting bracket?
The turn signal indicator lamp that is on the mounting bracket is what I linked to and is part # 68021-92A which is no longer made by moco.

Is the green arrow what you need?
Yes his indicator lights are indeed on that speedo mount and the sockets that push into it are the same part number for the socket on my tank dash so both take a 168 bulb which the T5 replaces..
