Default 94 flhr worth ?

Found a 94 flhr with 30k miles on it. Looks pretty good from pictures, but the $3k price tag concerns me. I have no idea what it's worth, but it seems low, considering how it looks in the pictures.
I know, where's the pics. I am terrible at posting pics. Please bear with me.

$3K sounds good, but as you mention, condition and history are needed to say for sure. Maintenance records? Clean title? How many previous owners?

For the most part, you can look at a bike/car etc and tell which ones have been maintained vs the neglected, used and abused ones with just a quick "clean up" before they try and sell.

These bikes are getting up there in age, so you need to allow for some age related issues, but that should be just cosmetic stuff.

Yeah, I would have thought a first year road King would pull a little bit more than 3K... But definitely worth a check... Don't let It go....

It's a solid platform, they just got rid of the breadbox gauge pod and moved the speedo where it should have been along. Not sure there's value in it being a first year. I've had my 94 FLHT for 17 years with no plans to change. It's been a good dependable bike, only times I've been stranded were both for stator issues.

Like YD said at this age parts will be deteriodeteriorating so you might want to give it a good once over inspection.

All about condition and maintenance. For me a Big Twin should never go below $5k unless it has extreme high mileage (100k and more) or was obviously abused and neglected (rusted, pitted, etc).

Thanks for the info. I was thinking along the lines of architect. Seems pretty low for as good as it looks in the pictures. Can't see it 'til the weekend.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

You never know. The last Harley that I bought was posted on Craigslist for about $3,500 below market value, and the guy wasn't getting any calls because everyone that it was a scam. I looked at the bike, handed the seller the cash, we signed the papers, and I rode the bike home. I was going to flip it, but it ended up being a keeper and usually the first in line when it's time to go for a ride.
