Well boys and girls,,,,after wwaiting for 15+ years,, the planets and the stars have finally come into the proper alignment for me to obtain an 88 FXR Low Rider. The one bike I have really wanted for a long time, bt not been able to get my hands on one. The story is cool and the bike is real nice. Ive had a few tidbits to do to get it on the road and riding, but if anyone is/was interested i can update this with pixx, dyno rns and other info as it comes up!! Thanks to GOD, i finally got one!!!

Very cool! Got some good basics it looks like. Chrome Switch Housings, Braided Cables, Oil Pressure Gauge, etc. But the paint?.....that would have to go.
I'm also not a big fan of the paint but, the frame has a pretty nice moulding job done to it and for the amount of money that i have in the bike, I can live with the color. The circumstances around how I got this are almost movie like, if this is the color I get, it's what i get and I need to just be grateful I finally got one!

I'll post up some more after i get it on the dyno, pretty sure that motor has nice goodies in it and will put up good numbers!
My experience with the Fxlr is the braking is really weak...just keep that in mind if following too close or going into a turn a little hot. You should try some hard braking just to get used to it. There have been times on the Road Glide that I've had to lock up that ended safely that I know the Fxr would have biffed. Thats an Fxr term....look it up.
Its not a low rider, is a low glide! lol, I here yeah about paint, my fxr the former owner done this to it, I haven't brought myself to change it because is quality work, but the women love it, which gets under my wifes skin, so congrats on the fxr! and there are worse colors! like mine!!
