My Electra glide ultra classic randomly dies it it had the magnetti marelli converted it to s&s super E due to the dying issues and erratic idle but still has random dying could this be temp sensor, or ignition I’m still running factory ignition
Since you converted to carb it would really require more information.
For example the CRANK position sensor connector located in triangle area of from under painted side cover by seat can get loose.
It is a push and turn connector.
When loose, it will cause bike to shut off over bumps.
Unfortunately very few techs check that ONE connector and push owners towards changing parts or carb instead.
Consider review of that ONE connector and place a zip tie on it.
Removed the MM fuel injection installed brand new s&s super E kit cam with intake, and all I did was remove pin # 6 for engine light everything else is stock
I checked the crank sensor plug and cleaned put back together still dies randomly while riding and then starts back up after a couple seconds and idles rough but runs if you let it sit idling for a few minutes it will be choppy then smooth out then back to choppy when it’s choppy the throttle is doggy but when smooth it’s real responsive it’s like it looses a cylinder every once and a while while it’s idling

https://www.vtwinfuelinjection.com/ I just converted my 97 and used this harness with a twin tek module. Never going back. Sounds like whatever problem you had with the MM came over with using it for ignition.
