1997 fatboy wheels
I would much rather run tubeless. I have seen claims you can make a spoke wheel tubeless.
Has anyone done this?
If I look for a tubeless wheel option, what years should fit my bike?
Thanks for any direction. There are a set of wheels off a 2000 road king local that look good, just not sure of fitment.

I think you can probably get some fat boy wheels off of eBay and then recoup some of the cost by selling your wheels.
I dont think going with newer road king wheels is worth the effort.
I remember TexasHillCountry converting his heritage to dual disk brakes up front years ago and it involved a road king wheel and forks but as simple as that sounded, it ended up being a lot more trouble than it seemed like it should have been and ultimately was not worth it even though he did get it done.
WillyShiny has a wheel exchange service where the chrome plate and in some cases machine wheels. They mostly work on an exchange basis but if you fail to return the core, they charge you $300 or something. If you cant get fat boy wheels from the appropriate year, I think I would contact them about purchasing wheels outright.
Even though they arent cheap, for what you get and the quality of the work their pricing really isnt bad at all.
I just did a quick search on eBay and found used OEM disc wheels for $259 each. Thats the easiest and cheapest way to go.
