Hi Forum!
I have a 1992 Dyna FXDC - pretty standard engine/wiring set up.
This might be a quick one and perhaps too easy for you guys. I'm not brilliant on electrics and before I start tearing things apart I thought I'd ask...
What could lead to my horn only sounding when I am riding?
When I'm in neutral and engine running, I get no sound, just a click. Once I get moving the horn sounds just fine.
Thanks!
Likely a bad connection at the horn. Intermittent ground or power. If its still sounding some of the time, the horn is fine, so about all that's left are the connections. Pull them off, spray with some contact cleaner and then using a pair of needle nose pliers, close up the connector so it applies more pressure and makes better contact with the male connector on the horn.
