Default solo on a springer

Hey Tcrafty. Wonder if you could send me a couple close-up pics of the seat installation on the springer. Been wanting to put one on mine forever but I never cared for the clamp-on piece that holds the tongue of the seat tee. Any pics or a description would be greatly appreciated......Cheers.....Omar

Sure @omar1951 I'll add a few to this thread just in case anyone else might have the same questions.

Here's a photo of the mount and one of it installed on a frame:

Here is how the actual mount fastens to the frame of the bike. There are the two small bolts that originally held the metal wire loom fastener and the one larger Torx bolt that holds the rear of the tank. I used threaded rod and acorn nuts on the two smaller bolts but knowing now how the "pogo" holds the cover I used, I would've just used bolts and forgot about the acorn nuts through the cover.

Here is how the Crossbones cover I used mates up with the pogo assembly. I needed to drill a hole through the cover and the 'pogo' assembly screws into the mount. I made the hole large enough so the threaded section of the pogo would go through but the chrome section wouldn't. That way when I screw the pogo through the cover and into the mount, it holds the cover in place in the front.

The bolt behind the pogo is to adjust the angle of the pogo so that it matches up with the seat T-bar so you can install the pin to tie it all together.

Hope that helps!

Excellent! Now, where did you get the rig, and I'm wondering if the crossbones cover is still available through a dealership?

I bought my pogo on Amazon.
Amazon Amazon

And, I found a Crossbones cover on Fb Marketplace, so they are out there used. Made it a little easier to modify this one.
