Hello all.
I recently picked up a 1984 Softail to keep my 88 FLH company.
I have been looking for a 84 Softail for the last 12yrs, I wanted a bike that wasn't too butchered and had matching numbers etc.
Here is Australia early Softails are pretty rare and go for top dollar, I have changed a few things to get her closer to stoke but I wont get her at 100%. I like the S&S carb, 1st for me as I have always had CV's and the old glide has a Mikuni, it has been converted to points by the p.o and thats OK, I dont mind point systems.
Love the Softail custom.. They handle very nicely.. I went 2" over on the front end with wide glide trees on my Fatboy.. It resembles a Softail Custom front end handle handles so much better than the stock Front end.. Nice find..
