Yeah that's right..I didn't mis-spell anything.. I finally broke down and purchased a set of FXSTC sliders and tubes From V-Twin (yeah Taiwan Ted) to go with my Duece triple trees, $480 delivered.. Must say the quality ain't bad..
The only issue was that the FXSTC front end is made for a 21"wheel and I'm running a 19"er. So I found 1 1/8" stainless steel plates that are tapped with 5/16x24 mounting holes and used them to lower my Fatboy fender closer to the tire.. It didn't look right mounted in the OEM position...
When I get home from work I'll get pics of the plates and how I mounted it.. The 2"over front end handles like a dream.. I took out the cheap springs that came with the fork tubes and installed my Progressives.. Major Major different in handling and brake dive.. It now has a firm feel to the ride and when I let go of the bars it stays right in the lane perfectly..I couldn't be happier..
When I post the other pics I'll explain in better detail how I did the mount plates.. I think I finally have the bike where I want it and will most likely ride it that way till I can't any more.. the best part of it is that now it's complete the Dyna will be sitting more..

Here are the dog bones (or what ever you want to call them) that I used to lower the fender.. You can see how the threaded area has a raised lip, so I had to drill out the back side of the slider to get the dog bones to sit flush against the mount.. the hardest part was adjusting the bolt length so it wouldn't protrude into the fender.. I did the same with the fender bolt.. It's a nice clean flush look.. A little bit of red loctite and so far so good.. I really like how the fender suits on the tire.. Actually appears that the fork legs are longer (I know it's just an illusion)... Very happy with the results..
Thanks Tony,, it really does feel good.. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.. **** another thing I just realized was that I bought it in 03.. I've had it twenty years now... Longer than my first or even second wife... Dang I wonder why that is... Lol...
