Pretty common when your not afraid to try something.. Isn't that how the bike was created.. Curiosity???
My shovel very definitely, been a test bed for many a neat trick that wasn't and just as many that were solid gold. Was bad back when I got stuff wholesale or under.

Most of that stuff was probably pretty reliable too, not like today's **** that they pedal..
Actually I'm starting to trust Taiwan Ted more than the other **** that's out there...
Pretty sure Gary Bang was rebranded stuff from Teds, sort of like Jireh cycles and Midwest are the same.
It wouldn't surprise me if Bang wasn't the original distributor for the stuff.. IIRC Gary Bang was ordinally a shop somewhere in the LA basin. It wouldn't surprise me if Teds started their own distributor stuff Bang stopped..
I worked on HDs from 72-74 part time business while working full time at a Honda dealership. FWIW, Honda paid better plus you could get really good deals on trade ins. Got a Norton, Kawasaki W2, and BSI 441, for deals while there. My partner and I split up in 74/75 as I was getting Island Fever. Still talk to the him. He's a bud. IIRC the dealing shifter over from Bang to Ted. He still get part from Ten at dealers cost.
I've heard of Gary bang but it was a little bit before my time in dealing with HDs.. isn't he the one that invented or came up with the idea of the case saver gasket for the inner primary to the motor for the broken lips?
A little update on my ignition I was very pleased with its performance especially the sound at cruise at 2400 RPM at 60 Definitely sounds different when you hit the toggle switch..
DefaultI took my bike out today (with that above mentioned ignition)
And I put the VOES wire on a toggle switch so I can use it whenever and I want and I must say the ****ing bike hasn't run this good in a while.. I'ma liking this ignition.. Also the warm restarts this thing just fires right over, one revolution that's it.. kind of reminds me when my D2KI was new.. think I'm going to get another one just throw it in the bag What the hell for 50 bucks???....
Another thing I wanted to mention too that when I have the VOES activated my AFR is right at 13.8-14.2 for cruise.. I'm ****ing love it.. And the pop out the exhaust is a little bit different with that much more advance... I'm really liking it, again.... Makes me want to go out more and more on the old bike...
