I went from the 70 to a 62 tooth pulley on the back of my 92 Heritage. Well worth the effort, it's not screaming on the highway any longer.
A128 tooth belt and 62 pulley is all you really need. But i changed the adjuster bolts and belt guards to the 93 part numbers. The bike has been like this since 1993 now.

I've been running the EV13, thinking about changing to the EV27

Seeing that you have a road King.. it would be very simple to pop the shift drum cover off the trans, pull the shift drum and then lock the shafts by putting them into two different gears.. It makes it much easier to get and nut on and off the fifth gear main drive gear..

This year, my belt broke. While getting it replaced I just swapped to a 65 tooth rear pulley and added an EV13 cam. Runs and pulls great. Lower rpms on the highway.

The EV13 served us very well in a 97 EG with some head work and a good tune.
