I want to clean the stock crossover pipes on my 1993 Springer. At first I thought they were stainless steel but a magnet sticks to them. Are they chromed? It's not on the motorcycle right now. Whats the best way? Don't want to start until I know what I'm doing.
Thanks, good to know they are plated. Wanted to make sure before I took something abrasive to them like stainless steel exhaust pipes. I have some neverdull. I'll start with that.
Most people don't get too crazy cleaning those pipes, that factory provided shiny chrome covers. Clean them up, install and then get a set of exhaust shields and all will be well again. Good luck.
