I have a stock CV carb now on my 98 FXSTC. Previous owner blew out part of the sidewall while drilling out the EPA plug. With a CV performance style adjusting screw set, I can see the maybe 2 threads. I'm pretty sure it still works as it should; but I figured on swapping it out if I can find one cheap. This leads me to my actual question. I have a lead on a california carb that would work (27505-98). Visually doesn't look much different besides a piece by the throttle cable bracket. Is there any other differences that I can't undo?
Also, if your getting one used I would get a rebuild kit that includes a new diaphragm. JMO
