Default Uh oh- extra part from carb? What is it?

I put my carb back together and now I have this extra part. Huh. Anyone ID it?

I always thought something worked better if there were parts left over.

Probably. I'm hoping it was just sitting on the bench from something else...

It goes in the top of the carb providing crush support for the cable bracket screw.

Rebuild it a few more times. You'll have enough spare parts to build another carb.
