Can any of you guys with a soft tail shoot me a pic of your rear brake assembly? Mainly the mount. I took it apart 2 years ago and I could swear I've got the damned thing on right but I'm having a helluva time getting it to all come together.
I'm honestly wondering how the hell you could screw it up but still the top caliper bolt wont clear the top swaybar without taking the whole mount out of the axle.
Thanks gents.

Well Holy ****... Ain't you a scholar. I said "swaybar", but I meant swingarm but I'd be willing to bet you probably already knew that given the context of the conversation and your colorful jab.

Maintenance and service guide for the 95 - 96 doesn't go into that detail really well. The online parts manuals/guides are about as good. Youtube only has a couple of old videos that arent that helpful for "1st gen" (pre-2000) soft tails.
Just looking for a quick snap of a full rear disk brake assembly if anyone is willing to take a couple minutes to show me how theirs is set up.
So... I'm looking for a snap of someone elses Gen1 softail rear brake setup for reference, or you can tell me i'm a dumbass and have the mount in backwards or something. I don't care. I just want it back on the road.
When I work on something I like to take a bunch of pics before, and while I disassemble it. That makes it so easy if you get to a spot where you're not sure how it goes back together.
Give it a try next time. It's saved my bacon on more than one occasion.
