Hey ya'll, I have a 97 ultra with MM, when I bought the bike it had 6800 mi. On it. After a couple of cam sensors and about 15k more miles, the beast started doin the MM shake down. ( y'know start it run fine , stop for a beer , head home and couldn't get out of 1st or even call for a trailer.) Damn bike drove me nuts for a couple months. I tested all sensors etc. Checked out fine. Then I noticed in the service manual this weird litte test they recommended, The Wiggle Test, long story short, found 4 shorts in the harness. Replaced it bike now has 277k mi. On it. I have worked on at least 40 other MM bikes, and 85% were harness issues.
If you're building, use the power commander, they're the best for MM. If you ever find a Kent-Moore scanalyzer buy it. Your system will last as long as you.

Sorry, just a second thought, I have a 90 classic with a 94 motor and tranny, I'm converting it to injection!!! (Instead of the opposite).
