This is why I full face helmet, although I'd rather half helmet. ~20% of crashes that involve the head involve impact to the jaw area, and I'd rather not play russian roulette with my jaw. At least it wasn't a bad accident and you get to leave when the trip is over.
Been 4 days, other than some scabs, the body is healed. No more stiff muscles or strange pains. Windshield is ordered and should be here in a week or so.
Gunna be WAY MORE cautious now. Been 50 years since the last time.
GLAD TO HEAR....
This is why I've always told all my friends that I'm 200% offensive and 100% defensive I feel it's safer to be on the offense than on the defense is what I'm getting at. Cuz when you're on the offense you're really looking more.. JMHO...

Ride like a ghost
Yeah, sometimes we let our guard down.. The best training I've ever had was living in the middle of nowhere. It's easy to get lost in the scenery and winding roads but the one thing I've learned was to be constantly watching both sides of the road for deer.. I know of 2 people that were killed on their bikes because of Deer..
Instincts take over in a potential collision condition and you can't practice crashing. Well you could but I don't think anyone would recommend it - maybe the Nitro Circus crew. So much happens in a split second, you do the best you can with the experience and skill set you possess. Second guessing is easy after the fact. I remember a woman turning in front of me and I had to hammer the brakes. I did a stopee with my bagger and felt the back end coming around after grabbing a handful of front brake. I stopped in time but almost flopped it on it's side. It happens and it's not always predictable.
