Just in case someone looking for information finds this thread in the future..
I noticed that 473ml oil was not nearly enough to get a reading on the dipstick, so I started searching for information again.
I then found the official owner manual that is matched with my VIN number on HD's site...
It gives totally different information then the workshop manual. Most importantly, it tells me to check the transmission oil with the dipstick screwed back in...thats the first place I read that.
