Default Time for some Upgrades

Okay, Alma is gunna get modified to better fit my riding needs. It's been almost 2 years since she's been rideable.

Converting to modern LED headlight and spots. Going to move the battery under the seat, go with 14 and up bags, new 2 piece Mustang touring seat, and upgrade the charging system.

What's the best charging system upgrade? Any problems with the lithium batteries on these machines?

Cycle Electric Inc. https://www.cycleelectricinc.com/ makes top notch components, Ive been running a 16 cell Antigravity battery going on 3 years with 0 issues, your bikes charging system needs to stay between 11 and 14 volts, my understanding is, any lower or higher can damage the battery

I also have Cycle Electric charging system and it's been trouble free for nearly 10 years, before that I replaced 2 OEM stators in 9 years. Moving the battery will be a big improvement in cargo space. Post up pics of the progress.

I'll start an upgrade thread. Gathering information and parts. Don't want it to be down for long.

If voltage is critical for those batteries @11-14.0, cycle electric make a low voltage regulator that will only put out a max of 13.9v. I'm running one in my 98 Fatboy without issue. Of course, the rest is Cycle Electric as well. Little pricy now but truly the only way to go.

LED's are installed...WOW what a difference!! It's like daylight in front of the bike. Use less power too!

Best is Cycle Electric,,not cheap and stock can be hit or miss and recommended if you jump to a lith. battery. Those are bit different to deal with, AntiGravy I ran needed to be “woke up” before it would hit hard, turned the lights a bit to put a load on it to warm up, didn’t felt like it was low volt dragging. Needs dedicated charger too including the trickle which I suggest if it has to sit a while. Lith battery fails under a certain volt charge they won’t recover I learned the hard way. I’d avoid the popular cheaper ones on Amazon.

Thanks, haven't got there yet. Need to get back to Idaho, May at the soonest. Unsure if it'll be a "project" this year or not. I'm actively doing research and collecting parts. It's HIGH on my list though. It really depends on what happens with the new administration 🤔 as to what direction we'll go.
