Anyone running one of these in your cv? I ordered one the other night whilst picking up a 46 pilot jet and some other bits and bobs to refresh my carb.
Seems to sit a lot lower down in profile and sprays a mist of fuel rather than the usual straight splurge of gas down the throat. Supposed to help the old cv pick up a lot smoother in the low rpms where they seem to be notoriously a bit groggy.
Anyone who uses one have any feedback good bad or indifferent?

I used it and happy with the results.
I purchased everything from CV including a new slide. BTW, I didn't notice any difference with the #46, went #48 as suggested on this forum.
Thanks for the feedback. Did you notice any improvement in smoothness when low rpm riding?
I've used a 48 before and didn't mind it but it was a little too fat for me. The 45 in there currently is decent once the motor warms up but needs 3.5 turns out which is too much. 46 should be a decent halfway house.

Does the bike need 3.5 turns to idle correctly or to behave at low speeds?
Is you're enricher (choke) cable working correctly?

Yes, great improvement!
The bike was sold due to carburetor back fire and poor fuel economy.
No more carb farts and 42 mpg, I'm happy.

yeah choke is all good. The motor has s&s jugs, 76cc heads, ev13 cam and drag pipes with khromewerks baffles so it needs a little bit more on the idle mix screw to feel right and get decent colour to the plugs. I run a stock slide, spring, emulsion tube, cvp velocity needle and a 185 main. Don't get me wrong, the 45 does the job but I thought I'd try the 46 seeing as I was already buying the new accelerator nozzle. I've run a 48 pilot which made starting / warming up a lot easier but it wasn't as punchy on the low end as the 45, hence hoping for a bit of a happy medium with the 46
