Default Another EVO?

I looked in the help section but all that i see there is technical assistance. I am looking for help with my WMCBS. Winter motorcycle buying syndrome. It happens every year. The days get shorter, The temperatures drop, roads are covered with salt and I get start getting bored. When I get bored I start shopping.

My latest obsession is wanting another EVO. Heritage, Fatboy, or Nostalgia/Special. I had a line on a 96 Nostalgia, Eagle Green/Silver paint job with only 1500 miles on it. By the time I got the guy on the phone and found out what I wanted to know about it he already had a guy from Texas sending a carrier to pick it up. Now I am looking at an unmolested 1999 Heritage Softail Classic. 25K miles, paint looks perfect other than needing a detail. What has me hooked on this one is its a 99, last and what should be the best version of the EVO, unmolested and clean, two tone paint, and its reasonably priced at 6300/OBO.
This will be a fifth Harley in the garage that I complain all the time about how small it is. I plan on trying to sell the 82 FXRS when spring gets here. That was another bike I had to have one year. Turns out it is not a very comfortable ride and if one has to go, she would be the one.
So the question isn't "I am nuts?" I know I'm nuts. Is it OK to be a little nuts if you aren't hurting anyone??

One in and one out sounds reasonable to me. If you are planning on selling one of your other bikes to make the room then why not?

All I see is a second Pearl. It’s nice.. but pretty much what you have.

Pearl is the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden, which is why I want to stick with the Heritage platform. I just want to add another Evo.

Nice find, there are garage queens out there. The color looks like the EGC I bought last week. I agree with you on the FXR, I could never get comfortable on the RT I had. Might have been better with forwards but the mids were terrible for me. I was never really impressed with the RT and didn't understand what all the fuss was about.

I'm the same way. I find it helps to get out and ride, but the winter months when sitting around, I think about all sorts of warm weather activities. New (new used) bikes or cars take up most of my thinking. Riding motorcycles in my part of the country the winter can be challenging. So to find a decent day, when I'm more into pure riding enjoyment, and not into brainwashing myself that I'm not really shivering & miserable, is tough. If I can just take my existing ride out for just one good fix...then I'm okay for another week.
However by Springtime, Ive already made " one hell of a deal", and got yet another motorcycle to store and push around in the garage!
Thank God, we are so blessed to have this problem!

I've been doing the same thing. Facebook marketplace is dangerous!! Is it me or are softails kind of less expensive? I have an 85 FXRS but have always been a FLH guy. Would like to get a Road King pre EFI or converted. I saw a 79 FLH complete but no papers for $3,500 not running ... been shovel curious. Just take my internet access away for a few months!!
