1993 tour glide. came with a mustang 2 up seat that puts me pretty close to the bars and floorboards, would like a bit more room. Not sure what model it is. I am open to solo and 2 up seat options maybe one of each since most of the time I will probably be solo (wife rides but not much). Maybe even a factory seat would move me back a bit? Please let me know what I should start looking for on marketplace/classifieds.
EDIT - forgot to ask, anyone know which year/model seats will interchange with my bike?

Reason: forgot
Start by looking at Dennis Kirk or JP Cycle seat options, they usually have a fitment guide that will tell you which seat fits what years and models. Then you will have a reference for your search. The mustang seats usually have a label on the bottom of the seat. Most seat mfgrs stopped production on seats for that age bike. The other option is find a used seat and have it modified, most seats from that era share a similar seating position. Swapmeets, Craigslist, Marketplace and local indy shops will be your best bets.
If you cant find a suitable seat you may want to think about shaving your existing seat down. There are tons of videos on Youtube showing step by step how to do it yourself. Its a pretty easy job and likely wouldnt cost you anything as long as you re-use your existing seat cover and dont need to recover the seat.
Damn that reminded me... the seller threw in another seat that didnt have a pan that fit (have extra base but he said it doesnt fit right). It sounded like he got the original seat recovered by local amish up here in Michigan and wasnt happy with it for some reason but it looks fine to me, maybe a little loose/baggy but I think the style with the buttons is normally that way. That spare seat has the foam and new vinyl cover. So, I think he said he bought the mustang seat, the pan didnt fit the bike so he paid an upholstery shop to swap that seat pan for the other (probably stocker?). I forgot about that story when I originally posted this. I may be able to swap the seat pans back and see how that refinished seat and foam feels and trim it before I staple to cover back on.
Suggesting opening the seat up to modify it reminded me I had those extra parts. I need to go through the extra parts pile to see what all is in there.
All good info though since I may look to get a solo seat at some point as well.

i set that other seat foam/cover on the bike without a base and it feels a bit cramped also. Sitting up on the passenger seat felt pretty good though. The pan for that mustang seat looked like it said fltc but it must be for a different model year. The rubber bumpers on the bottom dont even touch the rear fender so it isnt for this bike. Did they ever make a police seat for the tour glide? I put one of those on my old road king and had all kinds of legroom, but could have used a bit taller of a windshield with that seat.
