If it helps.. if that springer is factory.. then its a 90 or 91. That custom front aftermarket fender lowering kit is for the 90 & 91. Like my 90 that was stolen. That might help fine tune the year a custom paint was offered. You are correct they did that. I believe it was special order and dealer changed at purchase. A friend of mine did that. And the dealer received custom tins, and then swapped what was shipped. He ordered the whole bike new but it came not shipped with the custom painted tins.
thanks!!!
glad someone believes me..........
they changed the springer front fender in 93. 92s were the same as 91 and 90, so i am "almost" sure this is a 92 paint set.
the reason i wanted the code is to paint a springer front fender to match this set.
i am gonna put this paint set on a 93 springer for a lucky lady.
if you know any ladies, (or guys) that likes pink, and springers, send them my way LOL
I believe you. I have a 91 that has a custom color that isn't in any of the paint charts I have seen on the internet. I have seen one other bike with the same paint, so I KNOW it is factory.
Heres a 93 i bought new with custom factory paint, also not in the paint charts. Indiglo Blue Metallic and Peach. this bike was so nice some dirt bag stole it.
looks pink in the old photo, but it was peach, a salmon like color, not pink.
although my friends used to bust my ***** about my pink bike. i remember all the girls loved it.

BTW, hows your 93 doing?
93 is awesome. Fast fast fast. Roll that throttle full on anywhere near 4000 rpm first three gears and that front end comes right up. Handles fine for casual riding but not the best with twisties. I like it as much as my shovel and more than my Road King. Ive done 3,700 miles on it so far.
wow. looks real nice. i wish i kept that front wheel. did you paint it, or is that the way you got it? still looks real niice
The very reason I drove to Texas and bought it from you is I didn’t have time to paint it too.. I had already blue printed the 127 and it was waiting to go in the 90 that was stolen. So once I bought this one from you I tore it down to the frame and built back up with different motor, tranny, converted to chain and swapped rear wheels to a aluminum hub stainless spoke Buchanan rear 3.75 rim and 150 rear tire. I switched everything to be identical to the 90 that was stolen, forwards, hand controls, dash, silver face odometer, turn signals..
I have another set of springer tins that I’ll soon paint and then install for that deep wet lacquer, black look. Everything is time now. I’ve been super busy and took on a much larger toll in taking care of my parents. I love the bike! I have all new performance machine four piston brakes and gloating rotors for it, but it has to wait.
I have a dyno session in June set up and will compare different pipes and the D vs the bored out G. I’ll run whatever is fastest on paper and start going to the track hopefully. I’m fighting time.. seems the older I get the less I have.
