Default installed an LED taillight...

and I'm happy with it. Mine was packaged as Milwaukee V Twins but I'd bet that it is the same one that Drag Specialties sells for ''73-'98 Harleys. I was happy to see that it was made in Taiwan, that has generally meant good quality in my experience. Tail and brake light are very bright, fit and finish are as good as the stock unit. Some reviews said the studs broke during installation but that didn't happen to me. They are threaded on pot metal posts on the casting which I'm not crazy about but that is how HD did it too. Uses regular nuts instead of the crappy push nuts HD used. Plate LED's are yellow but the plate doesn't look yellow, that won't get me pulled over. I'm a big fan of LED lighting, and especially for the brake light as they illuminate about 1/4 second sooner than a conventional light, doesn't sound like much but could make all the difference. They are about $60-$78, J&P had the best price I found so I went with them.

I've had the pot metal studs break off. Drilled them out, helicoiled, and new steel studs loctited in. Lifetime fix.
