I am new to these, so I am asking the expertise here: Will a '00 1450 exhaust system fit my '99 1340 motor?
I have a 1999 Fat Boy FLSTF and I am looking for a good 2-1 exhaust system for it.
I'm in Norway, and the market isn't great for evos here, but now there's an affordable Vance & Hines Pro Pipes full system for sale that I would like to buy.
Seller says it's taken off a 2000 Softail with a 1450 motor.
It's too far to go there to test, and I don't want to create any hassle for the seller by returning it if it doesn't fit.
I ask because I see conflicting info in retailer's listed specs. Some say it will fit 86-11 softails, but I want to make sure.
Brackets I can modify within reason if needed, but I need to know if the headers and flanges will fit on my motor.
I dont know about Softails but Dyna Twin Cam & Evo exhausts will bolt right up. It may eed some modification to the mounting brackets, but the pipes will fit.
I would assume the Softail models are the same too.
Thanks, @Bubba Zanetti. That's what I seem to find everywhere on retailer's sites for the Evo Fat Boy too. -Brackets and floorboards might have issues with some systems, but flanges and headers will fit.
