Back on track.... Don't use silicone - use a non-hardening sealer like Hylomar or Yamabond
My link in the post above is a variation of the Hylomar. Easy to get and seems like the same except it's a tad more liquid than Hylomar. Still a paste like polyester urethane base, but consistency is not as thick. I just give it a few more seconds for the solvent to flash off and it works exactly like Hylomar. Brake clean is the only thing that takes it off, and don't use it on the foam/aluminum core gaskets. It eff's them up
Yes it does and yet you find it necessary to continue to comment on the wrong thing. Do you have any advice on how to stop this leak from the chain cover or are you just going to continue doubling down on missing the point?

I'm missing the point?
You said "Everything went well except for a leakage from the inspection cover. i ruined the first gasket trying to tighten it up. Bought anotherone and am still getting some dripping."
The point is you screwed up your own gasket and likely warped the cover by overtightening it. My advice was not to overtighten it when you go to put it on again.
Now heres another pointer for you. Reach down to where its leaking and get some oil on your finger then shove it up your ***, but dont gorilla arm it this time.

15 Minute Epoxy.
And stop over tightening the screws.
