Default Throttle cables time!

Good day gentlemen! It has been a long time for me to post but I check in to be sure the classic Harley world remains intact. 😎

I have a 1997 Ultra Classic, 80" Evo with the MM EFI and it is kicking after 110,000 miles.

I was doing my throttle cable lube and noticed a couple of strands on the cables were broke. I need to replace them of course but it seems to be a bit of an issue finding the correct cables. I have the thick Harley service manual but I do not have the parts manual. I was hoping someone might be able to share the actual part numbers with me. It has the MM EFI and that seems where it gets tricky.

Thanks in advance for the help! ?😎

These folks should have the cables you need and are as good or better than any other cable manufacturer.

    THROTTLE CONTROL ASSEMBLY Not Available
  • 56351-96

Not sure if these are the right part #'s for MMI, looks like for carb. Maybe your local dealership can sort you out.

On my 98RK, the EFI cables are the same as the carburetor version as I'm doing that right now.

Suggest ordering the little rubber boots that cover the adjustment bolts too.

Meh...it's the same for my '97 Heritage Softail Classic. It's been that way for a few years at least now.
