A 1997 will be easier than an older one because it doesn't use a speedo drive. The narrowglide wheel wont be a problem to put on the Fatboy.
Put your wheel on the front end. Center it with a plumb Bob in the headlight hole. Then use pvc to make your wheel spacers. Once you have your wheel spacing set you will need to space the rotor outboard to center it in the caliper. Then you are done.
