I'm guilty of it myself all the time. Working on something for two extra hours instead of doing it the simpler way.

I have spent many years fixing bikes for money and am used to keeping the labour costs down. The value of the pushrods vs the labour cost of doing it the long way around doesn't stack up.

Anyway, I wouldn't use adjustables on my or anybody else's bike if they weren't quikeez, what would be the point? I would cut them and chuck them in the scrap pile.

Just how my brain works I guess.

You're absolutely correct as a professional mechanic, but I'm just your run of the mill backyard monkey trying to not spend my money on a professional mechanic like you. LoL. Griz

Not cutting the adjustables won't save you any money if you are buying quikeez anyway....do ya get my drift?

Drift gotten. But if I spend the extra two hours not cutting them, then I can put them in my parts stash and keep them for another 15 years and never use them.

Which is why you need to throw them away, that way you will need them within two weeks and not have to wait 15 years

So I guess it's off with the rocker box lids probably. Good time to inspect rocker shafts and replace umbrella valves,

Thanks fellas.
