As long as it lock un place, the bike is laid over, sure what you have is fine.

You have that close in shot, bars turned to right and bike also kicked around might give the allusion that it's not further fwd.

My 04 Softail had aftermarke fwd controls. Stand was very sloppy down.

Back when I worked, as a trainings exercise, I made a slightly oversize 50015-74A LEG STOP on a wire EDM from a scrap piece of forging that a NC Lathe held on too, while making huge tapered bolts.

Definitely remember the orientation of the Leg Stop key to the thru square if flipped changed the angle of the stand. Original may have even been stamped up however.

My '97 Heritage Classic leans the same and the jiffy stand stops at the same place and it always looks like it should creep forward and eventually fall over on its side, but holds just fine and I can even sit the saddle while the bike is on the jiffy stand. OP is worrying too much.

I’ve posted this a dozen times but I’ll go ahead and post it again.
Harley makes the best kickstand in the industry.

I don't know about the year, but my 2005 Harley Davidson owners manual clearly mentions "Jiffy Stand" and
never mentions 'lick stand'.

The company that invented it.
Everyone knows that the MoCo invented the side stand about 100 years ago, before any other motorcycles had them, so they got to name it.

Bicycles have kick stands, so do Honda`s.

Harleys have Jiffy Stands.

So you can park your bike and get off in a Jiffy. Try getting a HD on a rear stand and you will understand the magic of the jiffy stand.
