If you want to make it handle better take a look at this.

You might find them interesting as they do take unwanted movement out of the swingarm.

Stock motors should be okay without one.The hard riders have cracked the inner primary, prompting the brace. The big motored Evo's should have one just for peace of mind.
Yea....agreed here.

If you have a stock motor and pull a trailer, get one. A Brother of mine had his case crack from the flexing of the motor against the inner primary. It was a stock motor in a 85 bagger.

Thanks for that - similar parts come with my Trackula kit, from True-Track:

mr. brown,

Have you installed the Carlinitorque arm yet. Which model did you buy? I have found a SE race brace ( same thing ) but the fellow doesn't want to send it until we make sure its the right one. Did you use the one for the FXR or the FXD ? Carli has them listed as C-1 for the 91-98 yr. fxd and C-2 for the 84-94 fxr. SE numbers are 66693-98 for the fxr and 66680-98 for the fxd.
Thanks for any info.

later..............
