upgrading headlight on fxr
I am in the process of swapping the front end out with a wide glide and upgrading the headlight with a bottom mount andreplacing the turn signals with LED. The front end swap went fairly smooth other than fork stop issues. I had to wire ina load equalizer to get the signals to flash.I got it all wired up and everything is working as it should. Now the big problem I have is what to do with all that damn wiring that came out of the original headlight housing.[:@] I am in the process of relocating it to under the gas tank on top of the frame, but it is really a tight fit getting the tank off and on. I actually went through the trouble of pulling the pins out of the connectors on all of the plugs so I wouldn't have a butcher job. I could relocate it all to the cover on the right side where the original electronic ignition module is but i would have to add length to the wiring which would mean cuttin and splicing to a **** load of wires.[sm=badidea.gif]What has anybody else done with the wiring when doing such a simple job as upgrading a headlight?[:@]
