Default Under seat accessory plug question

Howdy all. I am installing the Harley-DavidsonElectro Glow Rider floorboard lighting kit on my bike. Its quite a simple plug and play installation. The last step according to the instructions is to plug the male harness tip into the female accessory recepticle that is located underneath the seat. I did this and the lights will not come on. I've checked with my volt/ome meter for 12V power. There are four male 'prongs' in the accessory recepticle. Looking straight down if you were sitting on the bike the 'prong' in the southwestern location has power; the other three 'prongs' do not have power. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what my problem is? I've tried every combination of connecting the two power leads coming from the floorboards as well as trying to get the lights to work with just the ignition 'on' and with the engine running; no luck thus far...

does your bike have an accessory switch on the handlebars?
the design of the plug is suppose to permit full constant power on one side and switched on the other.

Yes it does have an accessory rocker switch. I've put the switch in both positions without any luck thus far. I'm taking my bike to my local HD dealer in the morning for a look see. I'll post my/their findings later in the week.

Thank you for your response!

I found out what my problem was yesterday. The male plug on the footboard light wiring harness was assembled incorrectly. My Davis HD tech discovered the problem and corrected it by 'turning around' the two wires leading into the male plug; all is well now. Seems as though overseas quality control missed this opportunity. I B happy now!
