Has anyone had success adding the Supplementary 12 Volt Power Source (Kit Number 91843-97) to a Road King FLHRI? When I received the kit it says it will fit "1994 and later carbureted FLHR models", but no specific mention of the FLHRI. The harness connector plugged in perfectly to the accessory plug under the seat, but I received no power? I tried both my GPS and a radar detector as well just to verify. Neither device received any juice. I'm assuming now that the configuration of the accessory plug under the seat must be different between the FLHR and FLHRI models even though it fits the same?
If anyone has any info or recommendations I'd greatly appreciate it. Trying to get a power source for my GPS (12V cigarrette lighter style plug) without making any major modifications. This kit seemed the right way to go.
on the female plug under the seat, one set of connectors are all the time hot (wired to the battery) the other set is hot only with the ACC switch on. Make sure you have the ACC switch on or either reverse the connector pins.
