Does anyone know where I can get a quick release that fits a 93 Ultra? MOCO unit is for 94 and newer, although sometimes they are not accurate with fit from yr to yr most times they are. Or can anyone tell me for certain that the 94-newer will definately work. Thanks.
I put all that detachable stuff on my 91 a few years back and I don't remember it being that tough. But then again it was for the solo detachable rack maybe there is a diff.
Here is the part #'s I used recently.
53276-84 -travel rack
53804-06- docking kit
53803-06 - sissy bar docking kit
Everything fit fine although it is a pain in the a** at some points by yourself, First step in to throw the instructions away, use the diagrams only as a reference. I removed my transciever and CB pod on the tank completely also. I wound up with 3 connections to make, 2 for left and right rear speakers and 1 for trunk lights. I needed to purchase 2 5/16 fine thread bolts and 2 5/16 fine thread bolts about 1 or 1 1/2" longer, also used 2 1/4" spacers (in the kits) instead of the 9/16" ones they said to use. When I am solo and all is off bike I am 56 lbs lighter and all off the top. Without the CB,transciever, coil, grabrail, etc. I still 12+ lbs lighter than original. I love it for daily communtes and momma likes just the sissy bar for bar hopping, just use the trunk now for full day trips or longer.
