Default Evo clutches

I know the clutch set ups changed from 1984-88 to 1989-1993 and again for 1994 and up. On the difference between the 1989-1993 to 1994+ change, what is the difference? Just the jack shaft and the ring gear? Any help is appreciated.

thx

I know that I am not much help but my 89 FXRis a differant clutch than a freinds 90 FXR. The differance that i could see is that he neededa special tool to remove his clutch where mine just unbolted. His was also easier on the hand to use. The plates are simular. The 90 is also a wet/dry clutch.

That is as much help as I can be.

Thanks Dog! Trying to sell a chopper that's not mine and want to make it as complete as possible. I think the only diff between the 1989-93 and the 1994+ is the jackshaft and the ring gear on the clutch but am not 100% sure.

Didn't the primary gearing change in 94 as well?

93 down 24/37 94 up 25/36 or something like that. Basically, 94 up get a slight reduction in RPM at speed.
