Mine was dynoed at 84hp and 80lb/ft of torque.

I don't let anyone drive it, most people can carelessly wreck it.

Lowflyby,You got that kind of power from just a single fire ignition and SE 10.5 pistons? No head work or cams? Just wondering-thanks!

92 springer 80hp;79lbs tq
11.0:1 Wiseco pistons;Crane 310 .550 lift cam;port and polished heads; S&S super e; V&H short shots.
I did have a Crane 314 .600 cam but my pinion shaft on the stock flywheels kept shearing off. I switched to a S&S flywheelThat 600 cam really made a difference. I nevered dynoed it but it felt like it had a least another 20 hp because the difference is like night in day when you hammer the throttle.

FWIW, I got my '92 FXDBD dynoed this summer to check jetting/ignition to try and improve it. Running SE heads, Mikuni HSR42, SE-11 cam, SE 10:1 pistons, stock headers, Dyna ignition (dual fire).

The result was 85/85 on the dyno- not too bad for stock lower end with 83,000 miles. I'm not sure there's much more to get from it and it's more than I'll ever need.

A few little extras came with it when I bought the bike. It does have head work done, SE cam, bored 30 over, and compression is 10.5, the jet is several sizes larger, and it has Bartel's exhaust system. As a matter of fact, he said if I wanted better fuel economy I have to go down 2 sizes on the jet. It's got loads of torque and I can left the front wheel if I snap the throttle if I'm moving about 5 mph. Don't ask me how I know this, scared the **** out of me the first time I did it.

Hope that helps.

Your numbers sound great! I now have an S&S V107T in my bike, which at 1500 miles gave 103bhp and 102 ft/lbs. Those extra 20 bhp cost me a hell of a lot!

They are certainly not run of the mill numbers, well done!

what do you think the max hp/tq for our 80" evo is ? sounds like my 83 hp 90 tq is so-so . i think we could take a few 88" twin cams,,,,,,,, or run with a few 96 " bikes . what do you guys think ? thunderheader , s&s super e , weisco 10.5 pistons , sams performance heads ,, a close friend of bob wood ,,,,, a wood w-6 cam ,crane ign. bob wood really knows his stuff . i plan on going to his w-9 240 dur.? 590 lift ,,, along with roller rockers . he said it should put me at low 90 + hp and 100 + tq. wish me luck .
