Default Left rear footpeg

Perhaps I am missing something but.......

Is the left rear footpeg support on my 98 (and to 05)
Wide Glide (and all dynas)

is it about 2" to close?
I want to space mine out about 2" for my wife so she has
some foot room on the left side.
is this normal?

(No opinions on if I am normal, please! )

Hello Schwangster,

It does seem to be close. I don't ride 2 up very often, but sometimes place my feet on the rear pegs. The primary right there at it gets in the way. Sorry I can't do any better than that for an opinion.

Hey WG95, bud,
so, do you see it?

The wife is ok with it, but...... just doesn't look right.

We don't see it when we actually drive the bike!

Hope all is well with you friend. Man I had a beautiful day of riding today. I sympathize with you guys in the Great White North.

I have noticed it. When I place my feet back there, I try to keep my boots away from the primary to keep from getting them ugly black marks on my chrome. If she is not too concerned about it, I wouldn't either. I did post a possible solution in your other thread about it.

Just get a 1"long pipe coupler (as a spacer) paint it black, and a longer bolt. I've done this on my softail..........worked fine
