Default Slowly Sloptail Comes Together

One of the curses of having a second bike to ride is that I ride it instead of spending the day in the shop working on the Sloptail. Bit the bullet and actually worked on it Thursday & Friday 'cause the pool installers were here. Did sneak in a little ride, though. Got the wiring finished, except for the brake switch which ain't installed yet.

The switch box is a Recognition Light Keying Switch from a WW2 Navy aircraft, though I don't know which one.

Semi-open primary, Primo belt drive w/Rivera clutch, jockey shift & suicide clutch, Dyna S ignition.

Using a Badlands module to control the rear bullet tail/brake/signal lights. Found that their diagram and actual wiring had a minor glitch. Color coding was backwards on the left/right signal leads. At first I figured it was my wiring, but when I checked it was their bad.

Today I should be able to make the bracket to mount the brake proportioning valve. Front & rear brakes will operate off the handlebar master cylinder. Almost finished with the stainless drag bars; just need a final pass on the buffer. Also need to carve a wee bit on the master cylinder to get it to clear the internal throttle set-up.

Looking forward to seeing how your bars turn out and how well the proportioning valve set-up works. Why are you trying such a system on your bike?

Don't particularly like stuff on my bars, and wanted to do away with the front master cylinder. Figured on using the rear master cylinder to power both brakes. Then I had a thought - "Idiot! You run a suicide & jockey. What happens if you don't catch neutral, but need the brake to keep out of trouble?" So, gonna run both brakes off the front cylinder. Compromising my principles, y'know? (Man, I feel so dirty! )

You'll just have to forgive yourself.
Function over form sometimes wins.
I hope the brake set-up works out well for you. Since you can't lose the master cylinder on your bars, maybe it won't bug you too much if the single master cylinder set-up doesn't work out and you have to put the rear one back on the bike.
Yeah, I know, kind of a crappy silver lining at best.
