I was unaware of the SE43mm flash, close to matching my build. Looks like this is the missing piece of the puzzle I've been looking for. Thanks!

It is safe to say Harley is the only one that can install the flash?

What is the Stage 3 flash?

>>> Timing on this is quite different from either of the other two stage IIs, as far as I can tell. It made a really obvious difference in mid-range when I first installed one of them. I'm now running this same flash on a 96-incher with good results.

>>> Yep, or a shop that has the scan tool. But dealers only charge $50 or so to install a flash, if you have the cartridge.

>>> I do not have direct experience with this one, so I cannot say with certainty. And as you may have noticed, HD has never been real clear about what this one does and what it's for. I have heard, for what it's worth, that it was for a basically stock (or maybe stage I) that had 50-thou taken off the heads. (That would give about 9.x:1 CR, which would pep the bike up across the board some, but otherwise not do much). Like the old CHP bikes, maybe, that had some taken off the heads. People used to think they were for a really modified bike because they were called "stage III", but I don't think that's the case. As I said, I really don't know. .

Beemervet, appreciate the offer.

barrybasinger, found a nice HD tech/parts sheet for flashes, locating the SE head calibration cart. to install, finally I should be able to kill the detonation without overfueling the cylinders

Found the SE43mm info here, no part number
