brake line

Default brake line

can i cut my brake line flare it and use pressuer fitings to make it longer or dont the metal lines flare well just added apes to my bike and the brake lines about 5 to 6 in. to short

planing on braded ss down the road but wanted to ride till winter for now

Way to go George, short (pardon the play on words), sweet, to the point and oh so true. A patched brake line is a patched brake line. Reaper, listen to the man!!

Flaring a brake line is a bad idea ... Nuff said

they have a flare tool to double flare the end, suppose to do that on brake lines, at least on cars. id day if you can do that then do it. good thing is that youll be able to see if it leaks. besides you still have a back brake, and you can always drag your foot.

i.v flared car brake lines b4 but you guys have convinced me this times not a good idea its just on my bike the front lines are one unit so i cant just swap in a longer top line i have to replace to whole unit oh well gess i'll have to wait till i can get a new one
