For an 89 stock EVO what kind of cylinder heads will bolt on? I see many differnt types, Screaming Eagle with 110 and other sizes, Billet Cylinder Heads that fit 4.25 inch engines ( not sure what the 4.25 refers too ) etc?
Most of what you're probably seeing are heads for twin cam engines (110 etc) and aftermarket heads for big bore cylinders.
Screamin Eagle heads and stock heads are the only thing you would ever want to bolt on anything other than a heavily modified Evo engine. And, just my opinion, you are much better off with stock heads than SE because generally speaking, the SE heads only flow and perform well with certain other specific (and expensive) modifications.
And by the way, unless it's been changed, your '89 cop bike came from the factory with the best stock cam ever. They even rival all but the more radical aftermarket cams avaliable.
