Yeah; but they have a new secret weapon. Soap. Makes the engine run cooler and cleaner. Don't forget to chamois your pistons. LOL. Oh Groan, Did I say that.

I did some of that today myself. Beautiful day but a little windy so I made a 50 mile trip to a neighboring town to get some "blue" wheel bearing grease and turned it into a 200 mile excursion. 6 miles from the shed it turned black, then rain and penny size hail and no where to stop then 3 miles out in school traffic it shut off

Started back after a couple and made it in. Was running sorta OK by then but I grabbed a bottle of windex and sprayed up under the front of the tank and that killed it. So, I got a loose wire on the coil, bad plug wire or something I'll deal with tomorrow. Too wet and cold to pull the tank today. Glad I wasn't in Cuba, New Mexico and late for a date...

Of course the first one would be a CVO bike just like in the picture.

First thing ever I had to do to this bike it had about 14K and I was headed to the beach for a day and back. Started it and ran 1 minute then dead as a hammer. I had a service manual with me just bought that day (lucky). But no meter and the Radio Shack in that tiny town was selling out, so I had to buy a meter "kit" and solder iron to put that together... well, it was ign module and I was at my (then) girlfriends way out in the sticks and had no tools so had to walk to her ex husbands to borrow a deep 1/4dr 5/16 socket. I got the tank off with a screwdriver and 2 adjustables and a phillips bit I turned with the adjustable... So, caught a ride to the HD shop 40 miles away and by the end of the day I was motoring again. gee, sounds like a hillbilly soap opera, huh? Serious - 100% true...

So pulling the seat, draining the gas and pulling the FLT tank just really doesn't bother me much. I'm just glad I was only 3 miles out and that it did start back before a school bus or mini-van wiped me out on the side of the road. It was near full of fuel and I had no place to drain it or enough vise grips to cheat... and the hail was about bad enough I was going to pull my coat off to lay over the tank if it hadn't fired when it did.

I'll get it tidy up tomorrow... may change cams again too, just got another free "experimental" one in the mail today

Man, I haven't had to try this trick yet, but I read that 50% water and 50% hydrogen peroxide will get bugs off your windshield (I got this scoot this fall; my first Herry) - so I imagine it might soften them up to remove from your water buffalo radiator.
