here's my 85 FXWG before I got tired of looking at it this way. I changed out the fenders, tanks, dash, pipes and a few other things. I went with stock rear fender (like yours), stretched tanks (got a great deal on them) and had my GF spray them flat black. no front fender. wrapped pipes. it turned out really cool. I'll try to get some new pix up of it now.
sounds cool, yeah I'm not a fan of bright colors, and full fendered looks either. too flashy for me, I'm not trying to win shows. just like it to have a clean conservative appearance that makes the chrome stand out. look forward to seeing your pics.
i did my 4-wheeler frame with that same texture pc w/black plastics, looked good. i beat the hell outta that thing & not a scratch, held up good
yeah thats exactly the stuff I used its used mainly for frames. maybe this will catch on haha, just to put it out there its cheap!! I payed $275 for everything! my 04' glide paint job cost me $650 and its HD vivid black. Anybody in Ga want excellent service and friendly people check out Miller's Powdercoating in Lilburn Ga. Good guys.
cost me $275 for the tanks, front/rear fenders at Miller's Powdercoating Lilburn Ga. I did no prepwork, the tanks were originals, the fenders were new and bare metal. all they did was sandblast the tanks, then they gave it the powdercoating treatment.
