Has anyone figured out a way to get around the Pingel shutoff valve on the MM To carb conversion? Seems like everyone buys the valve but frowns on the price and advertised "the only valve that fits the adapter"
Make your own adaptor. All you need is a lathe. Everyone has one of those, don't they? (I do, so I get to be an ***.) I used the Pingel kit. The stock HD vacuum petcock is supposed to screw into it. I haven't done the conversion yet, waiting for riding season to be over and a free weekend to do it.

OK, I still have a box of winter saved back for you and you might need that lathe to build a snow shovel
Yea, I will probaly drive myself crazy trying to find a budget system and end up buying the Pingel valve, the only thing I can see is the Pingel adapter is necked down and only accept the smaller Pingel filter, I'll need to get the adapter and see how much thickness is in the pass thru, think about it for a while and weigh in the " if I screw it up" and buy the Pingel.
What dimension do you need, I have the adaptors in a bag out in the shop. I haven't even opened the package, yet. I haven't picked up the petcock, enrichener or the throttle cables yet.
On the adapter from tank to fuel valve, see if the flow hole where the valve filter slides thru can be opened up for a larger filter used on other fuel valves. It might be sized only for the smaller Pingel filter and can be opened up.
