Default Mukuni carb question.

Im lookin' everywhere for the book for this carb, cant find it but here's my problem. New to me carb, just installed. I crank the bike, Stock 80 ci evo on a bagger, The bike fires & runs well. I let it warm up for 5 minutes at 1500 rpm than start adjusting the idle down to around 900. So now it's idling & gas is dripping out from a small tube under the fuel bowl. Looks like a vacuum tube but way smaller! I turn my fuel off & it stops dripping. I let the bike idle until it runs out of fuel & here I am looking for advise on what it might be!
Any thoughts would be awesome!!!
Hatch.

That's the overflow tube. The float level is too high, or there is some crap in the needle and seat. Be careful removing the float bowl screws as they are very soft. Make sure the screwdriver fits tight. The float level is 18 MM from the base of the carb to the top of the float. Hope this helps.

+1 on the bowl screws. The owners manual says to torque them to 18"lbs. I swear they install them at the factory with a 1/2" drive air gun! I had 3 of the 4 of mine stripped, before a drop of fuel had flown thru the carb .
(and that was using the propper size philips!)

You can grab the screws with a good pair of small Vice-Grips just to break them loose. Then use the phipips on them.

I always replace my float bowl screws with stainless allen head screws. It makes it much easier to remove them, especially if you ever want to swap jets without removing the carb from the bike.

Mine on my rigid did the same. It was just trash in the needle and seat.

Got it apart, it had the stainless allen head screws in it! I could not find the pilot jet but downloaded the pic's from mikuni & I can see where it is now. One more time & I should be able to ride it today!!!
