Default Primary & transmission fluids
Just wondering what type of fluid everybody is using in there primary and transmissions.

syn3 from harley, but I change it every 3000 miles,been doin it since 2002 or 2003, no problems yet,22000 miles on the bike

Bike is a 93 FXLR, B&M Trick Shift ATF in the primary and 75-140 Mobil 1 LT gear in my Baker 6 speed.

This topic is one of those religous debate ones.

I currently use: Mobil 1 ATF in the primary and Mobil SHC 630 in the trans. Shifts better than new.

Currently using Redline Heavy Shockproof in tranny
HD 99887-84 in primary

Bel-ray in my Baker...it's what they recommend...didn't want to void warranty. Cheapest ATF I can find in the primary...4 speed primary tends to "mark its territory"...no point in putting anything expensive in it.

Amsoil 20 50 in engine..............10 40 in primary.............heaviest gear oil i can find at any auto parts store
