anybody know of brackets that will bring the forward controls closer. I prefer mid controls, but you need lots of $$$
Thanks in advance for your responses.
Maybe someone will "happen by" and see your post who would like to swap mid controls for forwards. That would be the most cost effective, and maybe the only way to move them back...
Well I just discovered that the 94 FXSTS I just got had the 3" extended forward controls, so I will ask the dealer to put on the OEM controls on.
Also thinking of getting the mid control peg kits. I have a Goldwing and I'm really comfortable riding in that position.
Hopefully like you said somebody will chime in, but I don't think you can put HD mid controls on a EVO Softail. PM does offer a kit, but you have to buy their primary cover and it is costly.
I wasn't sure about the mids for that frame, though confident the shifter side could be done but wasn't so sure about the brake side - figured some of the others on here would have more knowledge about those types of frames. (It's usually quiet here on the weekends) Yes, 3" extended over stock really stretches them out and maybe you could sit on or ride one with "standard forwards" before dropping the bucks to put it back to stock. Good luck with your deal
